As our thoughts begin to turn towards Spring, we continue with our weekly prayers from Calum Martin, Church Engagement Officer:
Loving God, our shepherd, our light, our redeemer
In the rising of the sun each day,
In the acorn ready to be an oak,
In the crisp of the winter,
In the warmth of the dawning spring
How wonderful it is to be part of your creation, and your kingdom
You have shaped a world with ample pasture for your flocks
Help us to together steward and care for the land
In the well whose water runs clean
In the fresh baking of a load of bread
In the weaving of a community
Bound together in the cross
In serving each other, and in the lands of this world
In the Lamb of God, who came bringing hope and recociliation
Help us to recognise and appreciate Your blessings
That together, we may greet the beckoning spring
As both the turning of the sun
and beginning of a new season of justice
Amen
